Connecting and Caring Through History

The 20th Annual Mass History Conference

Monday, June 2, 2025

At The University of Massachusetts Amherst

The twentieth (we can’t believe it, either!) annual Mass History Conference, Connecting and Caring Through History, is coming on June 2, 2025.

This year’s Conference theme, Connecting and Caring Through History, encourages us to challenge an increasingly impersonal world and reconnect with our communities, our colleagues, and the “why” behind what we do. History is a deeply interconnected discipline, weaving together the stories of people from many different walks of life. With a myriad of digital and traditional tools at our disposal, there are more ways than ever to make history public. How can we offer interpretations that tell diverse stories? How can we bridge the gap between the past and the present for our audiences? Join us in Amherst on June 2 as we learn from one another!

A room block at Hotel UMass, in the same complex as the Conference sessions, has been reserved for the nights of June 1-3. If you would like to book in the block, please use the button to the left to book online or call Hotel UMass directly at 877-822-2110 and use the group code “841852” by May 2.
