Are you hoping to leave the Mass History Conference with actionable skills? These conference workshops focus on what we can do today to make our spaces and narratives accessible for everyone!

In Creating Inclusive Narratives: A Sense of Place Perspective, Erika Wheeler will provide an overview of her approach, offer inspiring case studies from her Sense of Place and Story Interpretive Training, and guide participants through a unique process for creating a pocket outline that tells fuller stories while including techniques that appeal to different learning styles. Come away with fresh ideas and an inclusive program outline you can use right away. [PLEASE NOTE: As of 5/8, registration for this workshop is now full! We encourage you to sign up for the other workshops available to take advantage of skills-based learning opportunities.]

Springfield Preservation Trust President Erica Swallow and Executive Vice President James ‘Sean’ Johnson will discuss Strategies for Inclusion in Your Historic Advocacy Group.  Participants will then engage in a hands-on exercise to identify inclusivity challenges within their historic advocacy group and brainstorm solutions and strategies for implementation in 2024 and beyond. This workshop will include a guided activity and sharing so participants can walk away with new skills to implement at their organizations.

Registration for the conference is live. All conference workshops have limited space, so click here to register now!
