In Fall 2020, she will begin a position as assistant professor of history at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Dr. Becerra, who earned her PhD in History and Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan, will speak to the theme of the 16th Mass History Conference, “History: a Massachusetts Community Activity,” and help to contextualize the challenges public historians face in inviting community members to become authorities on their own history.
