IT’S ELECTION TIME!
The Massachusetts History Alliance is growing! Established in 2017, the all-volunteer organization advocates for and supports all public history organizations in the Commonwealth. The MHA elected its first slate of full-term board members in 2018 and is currently seeking volunteers to join the board for a three-year term. Board members articulate and amplify the organization’s mission, serve on committees, exercise leadership in their own networks and regions to support public history and work to increase the size and scope of MHA membership. We are looking for people with passion for the mission and an energetic can-do attitude!
If you are interested in joining the board, please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
What do you need to do to qualify? Be a member of a member organization (a Massachusetts state or local history-related non-profit, educational group, or government entity). Sign up your organization if it isn’t a member yet. Who votes? All member organizations get 1 vote.
The new board members will be elected at our annual meeting on July 15, 2019, which will be held at the Palmer Historical and Cultural Center from 2:00-5:00 p.m.. The deadline for self-nominations for the board is July 9, 2019.
