IT’S ELECTION TIME! The MHA annual meeting is on July 16th at the Worcester Historical Museum. Its our first election as a corporation. We’ll be electing four officers (Pres. , VP, Treasurer, and Clerk) and three at large members of the board of Directors.

Deadline for nominations is the 22nd
What do you need to do to qualify? Be a member of a member organization (a MA state or local history-related non-profit, educational group, or government entity.) (Sign up if it isn’t yet) Who votes? All member orgs get 1 vote.
Our temporary terms as founding board end on July 16th and most are not running for election

What am I getting into?
The MHA is a a critical juncture: we’re going to be incorporating as a 501 (c)3 so we can take charge of our own finances and of the Mass History Conference.
Also, we’ve started our advocacy work and will continue it
and we’re poised to build our website into a true statewide resource where all collaborative projects and all public history service programs can hang out their shingle.
There’s some work to do!
