Representative David Vieira, of Falmouth has introduced a bill in the state legislature that would allow cities and towns to preserve their historical records through the use of Community Preservation Act Funds. House Bill #3087 (https://malegislature.gov/Bills/192/H3087) is currently stalled in the Review Committee. That Bill expands the use of CPA funds to allow for the digitization of vital historical records.
