Bob Damon is a public historian, historical consultant, and educator with over 25 years of experience in historic site management, historical programming, historic preservation, non-profit management and public education. Currently, Bob is the City of Quincy’s Director of Historic and Heritage Resources where he is responsible for preserving and activating City-owned historic buildings and sites, and for supporting and promoting the City’s diverse historic heritage sector on behalf of community members, local educators and tourists alike. Bob’s past professional experience includes eight years as a high school history teacher, Historic Site Manager of the Old North Church in Boston, Director of the Wellesley Historical Society and Director of Visitor Programs at the Church of the Presidents in Quincy. From 2013-20, Bob was the Principal of The Pastworks, a one-man historical consulting business focused on helping clients to understand and capitalize on the financial and cultural value of their historic resources.
