Expanding Narratives Through Community Engagement at Industrial Sites

1:30pm – 2:45pm, June 5, 2022

Industrial cities have a long history of industrialization, deindustrialization, and morphing populations. Often, institutions traditionally focused heavily on the industrialization part of their history but there are so many more stories to tell. Three museums are working to expand their stories and audiences through community engagement and will be sharing where they are with the work, the lessons they’ve learned, and how they are moving forward.
